kinship. was born from a desire to create a supportive space for young adult dancers of color. At its heart, our program is dedicated to nurturing artistic excellence and professional growth through mentorship, innovative training, and community connection. Discover our story, our values, and our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive dance community.
Largely inspired and created by former Brown Girls Do Ballet ambassadors Sophia Cooper and Joelle Kimbrough, kinship. aims to foster a community in which young adult dancers of color learn to navigate the beginnings of their careers through the help and guidance of both their peers and industry veterans.
